Two years ago, a very expectant Golden mom arrived at Homeward Bound, rescued from a So. Cal shelter and transported by a Southern California Golden Retriever Rescue (SCGRR) volunteer. With little time to spare, a special whelping box was constructed and finished the day before Evie Rose gave birth to nine puppies.
Sadly, two were lost in the first couple of days, but seven were delivered as healthy, happy golden bundles of joy.
Since they came from the land of magic kingdoms, they were appropriately named after Disney characters. At the risk of a cease and desist attorney letter, we share with you: Aladdin (now Sam), Bobble (now Sadie), Darby (now Nike), Eeyore (now Riley), Fawn (now Lola), Gaston (now Bowie), and Jacques (now Boomer).
Last weekend, the Disney Litter pups were all reunited at Homeward Bound. The occasion: a celebration of their second birthdays with a special guest appearance by their beautiful mom – now renamed Teddy.
Clearly in charge from the moment she arrived, she barked them into order for one group shot –
before pandemonium ensued.
It was an amazing day of play – all in good spirits and in good fun.
We heard rumors of another outing down the road. Until we meet again, you can enjoy the photos by clicking here.
