The Heart of Homeward Bound
These photos, captured during today’s senior play in the Park at Homeward Bound, capture perfectly what we mean by “the heart of Homeward Bound”. Many of our senior pups are available through permanent foster, adoption, or our Golden Touch Program to people who understand that “life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.”

They have such soulful eyes and a resilience of spirit!
They all love Jody…don’t they? The senior dogs are all so very precious. I wish more people could look past the “short term” part and realize how much these sweeties need love and give love in return…unconditionally.
These pictures are wonderful! They reflect so beautifully how the seniors love to give their love, and our joy in receiving and giving it back to them. Each of these dogs is so special, as is the sanctuary Jody and Mike provide them while they wait for their new home. Thank you for this post.

I would love to foster a senior Golden for a week (while I’m home) to see how my dog, Mia( 5) would react. Mia is also a rescue dog from HWB in need of a friend. Jodie, I will contact you!
