Homeward Bound Youth Program |
If you are 13 – 19 years old, Homeward Bound has a Community Service Program that is held every Saturday from 11:00 – 4:00. Under the oversight of an adult lead volunteer, our student volunteers participate in all aspects of caring for the dogs (walking, play time, feeding, cleaning kennels, washing dishes, doing laundry, picking up poop, sweeping and mopping floors.) |

Golden Taxi
Whether the need is picking up a dog from a shelter, or driving it to our local vet, or transporting dogs from distant parts of the state, Golden Taxi volunteers get the job done. Whether you want to do local transports or hit the open road and drive long distances, there may be an opportunity for you on the Golden Taxi Team. |

Grant Writing Team
Identify possible funding sources and complete grant applications. |

|
Landscaping
Planting flowers and shrubs, trimming trees and vines, weeding along the walkways, replanting the lawn, mowing the lawn, maintaining sprinkler system, and planning, planting, and maintaining our new memorial garden. |

Office Work
Answering phones, making copies, using computers, filing dog records, answering e-mails, or greeting visitors and volunteers when they enter |

Marketing Team
Our efforts are focused on raising money to support HBGRR's operations through various grants, fundraisers and events. Looking for high energy individuals with strong written and oral communication skills; formal or informal experience in the media/ communications, outreach and marketing fields; and, a flair for creativity! |

Placement Team
Contacts new applicants and arranges to make a home visit to make sure that the dog is going to an appropriate forever home |

Special Events/Fundraising
Planning, contact sponsors, set up, take down, clean up, or staffing at one of our many special events such as Kibble and Bids or Rufus Runs for Rescue |

|
Training/Socialization
Help get the dogs adopted into their forever home by teaching them how to obey commands, learn socializations skills, and to get along with other dogs. |

| Volunteer Orientation Program |
The orientation program is for all new volunteers and existing volunteers. Before new volunteers can begin performing any duties at Homeward Bound they must attend a new volunteer orientation session. They are offered about once every month. Existing volunteers should take the orientation program when their schedule permits. Students are welcome to come to the orientation at any time after they have gone through the student program. |
