Kibble & Bids™ is the premier fundraising event for Homeward Bound Golden Retriever Rescue and Sanctuary, Inc. (HBGRR) and, this year, it’s being held on Saturday, October 16th!! Situated on the lush grounds of a private estate along the banks of the Sacramento River, Kibble & Bids™ features great food, premium wine & beer tasting, silent and live auctions and an entourage of grateful, rescued Goldens! Last year we beat all records -- in addition to rescuing a record number of Goldens (850), we had a record number of attendees (1200) and raised a record $113,000 after expenses! While, for the dogs’ sake, we’re not hoping to see a significant increase in the number of Goldens we rescue this year, we do hope to raise enough money to adequately cover the costs of housing, food, transport, and medical care. That said, we’re hoping to beat last year’s numbers by at least 10%. We realize it’s going to be tough to meet our financial goal of $125,000 given the state of the economy but we’re hopeful that, with the continued support of all our generous donors and supporters, we can make our numbers!

DONATE

We’re looking for all types of items for our silent and live auctions, and the balloon or the raffle tables. Weekend getaways, gift certificates, wine, food, pet items, sporting goods, theater tickets, artwork, trips, anything golf, pottery...you name it! Contact us if you’d like to donate. We’ll even do pick-ups!

VOLUNTEER

Volunteers...we need you! Kibble & Bids wouldn’t happen without the commitment of the hundred-plus volunteers that are needed to support Kibble & Bids before, during, and after the event. Contact Jana Mauk if you’d like to join the Kibble & Bids team of volunteers, in any capacity!

HOST AND AUCTIONEER

We have surprise hosts this year, and auctioneer extraordinaire, Joe Gates, will be back to officiate over our exciting live auction.

MUSIC/ENTERTAINMENT

We will have Mariachis and Folklorico Dancers performing at the VIP reception and strolling the grounds.

SILENT AND LIVE AUCTION

We plan to have great Live and Silent auction items again this year....great getaways, wonderful wines, dining gift certificates, fun dog-related items, and much much more! Contact us if you are interested in donating.
