Every year since its inception, our Kibble & Bids fundraiser outshines the ones prior! With the support of our sponsors, attendees, participating wineries, breweries, restaurants, and auction donors we netted $110,000 for the organization! Our attendee numbers surpassed all prior years - and we reached our capacity at the event site, Riverwood Estate. All proceeds were devoted to veterinary services for the dogs, continued maintenance and improvements to the adoption center and sanctuary, including the extensive kennel remodel and equipment/storage garage! This year we’re celebrating our eighth annual Kibble & Bids and we’re planning to top all the years’ previous events, with your help.

Last year Homeward Bound rescued a record 561 dogs, almost double the number in 2006 (288), and incurred a whopping $305,263 in veterinary expenses. You name it, we do it: heartworm therapy, chemotherapy, hip replacements, knee surgery, spaying, neutering, hospitalization, dental work, shots, eye surgery, dermatology, and the list goes on. From intake to evaluation to placement, every aspect of rescue and adoption is done solely by volunteers and donations. Homeward Bound needs your help to ensure all dogs in need of rescue are rescued, especially during these challenging economic times. Our rescue numbers are higher than last year at this point in time, with no signs of slowdown. So what can you do? LOTS!

We’re looking for all types of items for our silent and live auctions. Weekend getaways, gift certificates, wine, food, pet items, sporting goods, theater tickets, artwork, trips, anything golf, pottery...you name it! We're creating our annual Souvenir Program for, filled with photographs, stories, and advertisements from Homeward Bound supporters. There are many choices in terms of ad sizes and prices, ranging from a full page ad to a business-card-sized ad. We'd love to support your business and encourage others to do the same. Volunteers...we need you! Kibble & Bids wouldn’t happen without the commitment of the hundred-plus volunteers that are needed to support Kibble & Bids before, during, and after the event. Contact Jana Mauk if you’d like to join the Kibble & Bids team of volunteers, in any capacity!

Cristina Mendonsa from Channel 10 will be our host this year, and auctioneer extraordinaire Joe Gates will be back to officiate over our exciting live auction.

We've got great Live and Silent auction items again this year....great getaways, wonderful wines, dining gift certificates, fun dog-related items, and much much more!

We're lining up our golden greeters…yes, several Goldens who will greet attendees at the entrance, walk the grounds with their owners, and tell their Homeward Bound rescue stories.

Kibble & Bids 2008 Tickets are Available Now! We'd love to have you join us on Saturday, September 6th! Tickets are $55.00 per person in advance and $65.00 at the door. Homeward Bound Members will receive a discounted ticket price of $50.00 per person.
