Zeke

Dear Homeward Bound,

We came up to Sacramento from San Francisco to meet Zeke in early April 2002. Lisa, from Homeward Bound, had just visited our home for a home interview. We were looking for a younger dog with a lot of energy. After speaking to Lisa for a while, she said she had a perfect match.

Not knowing whether or not we would be coming home with a dog, we were sold on Zeke instantly. Zeke wasn't feeling well and he wasn't used to cars, so the ride home was a little rough. But after a couple of days of adjustment, Zeke felt right at home. It was hilarious watching him try to figure out how to go up and down stairs, probably for the first time. His first foray to the beach was equally amusing as he discovered that waves could pack a little punch. Zeke loved his first encounter with snow in Tahoe. After some investigation, he jumped right on and treated it like a giant slip and slide. Zeke also loves to follow us on mountain bike rides, go kayaking and swim in the lake. He is a fast learner and loves all his new adventures. He even likes car rides now.

The best thing about Zeke is his wonderful temperament. He never barks and is friendly to everyone he comes across. Zeke's having a blast playing with the other dogs in the local parks, chasing tennis balls in Golden Gate Park, and trying his best to demolish any kind of bone we put in front of him. Zeke is very loving and follows us around the house whether we're watering the garden or relaxing on the couch. He has added a lot to our home and brings us a lot of enjoyment. We can't imagine why anyone gave him up. Lucky for us - we couldn't have asked for a better dog!
