Dakota

Greetings one and all!

I am so excited to share with you the latest addition to my family: DAKOTA!! :-)

Dakota comes to me straight from Homeward Bound Golden Retriever Rescue -- he was relinquished by his family in Napa County and came to Sacramento and then to my home on January 19th. I just happened to be at the sanctuary that day and saw his ice-blue eyes from "across the room" and the rest is proverbial history.

We have had a very easy transitional time -- however, Dakota is working on trying to get to know Sadie & Max (the cats), and vice versa....so, we're taking it slowly -- one day at a time. Dakota is an 86 pound lap dog and loves to play fetch, roll on his back to get a quick belly rub and loves his new dog run which Grampaw John built for him!

Dakota and I are working with a dog trainer on refreshing some minor obedience skills and hopefully will be able to re-introduce Sadie & Max to him shortly (as the day after I brought him home he "attacked" Max but I'm convinced that he thought he was playing)!
