Success Story

Cheyenne

Dear Homeward Bound,

I know you are wondering about Cheyenne and how she is doing so far. She was quite curious and a bit apprehensive for about half of the trip home. And why not, for pete’s sake?! We kept talking to her and petting her to give her comfort. Then, all at once she laid down in the back seat and went to sleep. I felt relief for her. Imagine what it feels like to have a stranger show up and cart you off in a strange car with no explanation at all!

She has adapted very well now, and has already learned that her water dish is in the kitchen, and true to a Golden’s nature, she slobbers very well. It makes my heart sing again.

I will keep you posted as we go along. Know that we will love her and treasure her. Thank you for bringing her into our lives. She is just what we needed and we will do our best to be all that she needs in return.

Sincerely,
Barbara Smith
