Casper the Courageous

Turning terror and tragedy into triumph, finding a family to flourish in. The everyday story of a Homeward Bound Rescued Golden Retriever (mix).

An emergency rescue was requested by the shelter. Casper had been severely mauled (face torn off...) by other dogs there. He was adopted out twice and still found himself back in a kennel with Mike and Jody. 

Casper was waiting to be part of a "one of each color family" though he didn’t know it. While the Rue’s were assisting with the new Sanctuary’s preparations, Casper "the friendly" would engage them as they walked by. They took this playful, enchanting boy home as a foster to play with the genteel Cherie’ until he could find the perfect home. 

Like the gallant knights of old, his is a fairytale ending. He was adopted by his sisters Cherie’ 2 yrs, Diesel 10 yrs, Mittens 12 yrs (unenthusiastically & not pictured) and owners Raena, Shelbie, and Dean.
