Success Story

Brandy

Dear Mike and Jody,

BrandyThought I’d drop you some pictures my Dad took of me a week or so ago.I’m doing really good and I’m told I’m a beautiful Golden. I get my hair and nails done every other Friday and my hair is so thick, shiny, soft and beautiful. You can’t see my ribs or hips or backbone anymore, and Dad says he’s cutting my food down a bit now.

We go for a run all the time. When we first started I had trouble keeping up with Dad but now he has trouble keeping up with me. But we have fun and I wait for him- after all he may be my dad, but he’s also my best friend. We go everywhere together. I never let him out of my sight.

When I wrote you before I told you about my bed that Dad put on the floor next to his bed. Well, that bed is so full of my toys that I’ve had to move up to sleep on Dad’s bed. He makes me get down sometimes, but even when I sleep in my bed I always cuddle with him for about ten minutes when the alarm goes off.

Brandy and DadI still eat my Innova dog food, but its always mixed with chicken, carrots, celery and barley and warmed up so its yummy. For breakfast I still get my oatmeal with Innova and egg beaters, but now I also get part of Dad’s breakfast drink that he makes from apples, blueberries, bananas, oranges, wheat germ all topped off with rice drink. It’s really good and while he makes it he gives me slices of apples and bananas. Oh, yes, I still get my vitamins too.As you can see in the pictures, I usually stay in the house, but I do like my backyard too. Dad has lots of bandanas that I like to wear, but right now Dad and I are feeling pretty patriotic.

I sure hope some of my old buddies have found good homes too. Dad says since I had a rough first seven years, I’ll never have a rough day again.

Love,
Brandy

PS I don’t think my face is as gray as it used to be, do you?

Brandy
