Success Story

Payne

Payne

Woof, Woof!

Well it’s been one week since I was adopted, and my new family loves a lot of the same stuff I do.

My youngest sister, Kyra (one and a half years old now) is a constant source of pets and the occasional “free” snack (ahh yes, a food source just at my level).  My brother, Ryan (four years old) is my ball buddy.  I’m teaching him to throw and he’s teaching me to retrieve and drop the ball….a match made in heaven!  My oldest sister, Paige (eleven years old) loves showing me off to her friends…she just beams when she tells the neighborhood friends I’m HER dog!  I have found Mom & Dad’s bed to be a really comfortable sleeping spot and I let them know that saving them the expense of buying me a dog bed is the least I could do (I just give, give, give)!  Ginger, our family cat is still a bit coy around me (although I don’t know what the fuss is….I’m just a big old teddy bear).  She’ll warm-up to me in no time!

Daddy named me Payne because I love golf balls, and since Dad is a big golfer, the name has stuck.

Today was a wonderfully sunny day and I oversaw the kids blowing bubbles and watched the fish in our pond.

Woof! (For you humans, that’s dog-speak for “Life is good!”)
