Success Story

MOLLY

Molly                  Molly

Dear Carla,

It's me, Monica-Molly! My mom thought you'd like to see some photos of me this past year and to hear how I'm doing!

I like it here with my forever family. It took me awhile to blossom, but now I even "talk"! I kind of purr like a cat and when I start, my mom keeps talking to me and I get louder and then we have a grand conversation!

Did you know there is a park just a hop and skip away from my house? Yep! It's even called "Molly Park"; at least that's what Mom says it is. I go there to do somersaults, roll around on my back, kick my feet and be silly.

I like my little brother, Rufus. Mom and Dad rescued him too. Mom says he needs to learn some manners but he's fun to play with. We mostly play bitey-face and steal each other's chew bones but we never fight. He cries if I leave the room and he can't find me. Mom says I am very patient with him.

I now recognize the sound of my dad's SUV when he comes home at night. I run to find a toy to give him when I meet him at the door with my tail wagging. My dad always greets me first-before Mom and before Rufus!!

We have some little kids on our street and as soon as I see them, I go trotting off with my tail going a mile a minute! I like little ones!

I had been trying really hard to lose weight but it wasn't happening. Mom took me to the vet and they figured out my thyroid is a little wacky so now I'm on pills and I'm getting my waistline back. I go to the "Doggie Beauty Salon" every couple of months but Mom says I'm already bee-uuu-tee-full on the inside!

I will ask for affection and I give eye contact now. I just give them a nudge with my head, or put a paw on their knees. I even like hugs! We sit face to face and I put my head on her shoulder and she puts her arms all around me and we hug. She says I'm a very gentle lady and she can't imagine how I came to be lost but that she and dad are glad I'm now found!

Don't worry about me Carla. I'm in a very safe and loving home. Thank you for being there when I needed you!

Love, Molly
