Success Story

Linus

Linus

Dear Jody,

It's hard to go over all the good times I've had in the more then 2 years with Mike & Carroll Navarre in Hanford. My adopted birthday is today, St Patrick's Day. My family made slips of paper 2 years ago with special days in late Winter and laid them in a row in front of me. I picked St. Patrick's Day, so today I'm 3 years old.

They think they have me well trained, but you know who really is trained. Our evening walks still have some of the original cats that I say "Hi" to along with a great house that has 2 neat cats that do such great back rolls for me.

Car rides and naps make a good combination. My favorite is chase ball and return it for a treat. With warm weather returning we will start going back to the cottage so I can visit the Frog Pond. The swimming up there is great. I can't see what the Navarre's like about their pool.

Another of my favorites is when my Master takes out his violin and people come to the house so I can greet them before they play their violins. I then get to show them the way back to their cars. It is so nice to be near to my Master with his music. His lazyboy chair is just right for hanging my chin on while I get rubbed.

Nothing can be greater then snuggling with my Master and his wife just before they get up with the new light of the day.

My sincere thanks to you and your friends, Jody for being there to have helped me get my life back together. My Master has tears in his eyes as he types this for me. I do love him and his wife.

Much Love to you Jody.

2001:

Dear Jody and Friends at Homeward Bound,

It has been more then 6 months since we brought Linus into our home. He is our constant companion and has proven to us that he has his own personality and thoroughly enjoys life. He has been through obedience class and of course was a favorite among the group.

Linus loves cats. Our daily walk in the evening usually includes one or two of the neighborhood cats. Linus will wait until he is joined at certain houses and there is a greeting ceremony of the friends.

Linus loves to ride in the car. He has visited with us all the way to Olympia, Washington. He also has been out to the Ocean and our cabin in the Sierra Mountains. There is a wonderful Frog Pond a short walk from the cabin and the day must include a couple of swims, along with looking at the tadpoles and new frogs.

There is still some mannerisms that remain with Linus. Metal noises and quick movements make him jump and clear out of the area. He is cautious about getting in the swimming pool and limits his time in the water.

Thank you Homeward Bound for such a wonderful friend.
