JAKE 

Hi Homeward Bound and Karen- 

We adopted JAKE last summer and have really enjoyed getting to know him since he's joined our family. Since one of our son's name is Jacob, Jacob came up with a great name for JAKE...."JD" which stands for "JAKE DOG" as it was getting confusing for both JAKE the dog and Jacob the kiddo.

JD was very shy and a bit unsure and scared when we brought him home, and after visiting our vet we learned he was still pretty sick and weak from his kennel cough. After taking his meds and lots of rest, he's gradually has come out of his shell and really become a wonderful loving dog. He immediately took to me and was very tentative with Eric and our sons. With lots of love, time to build trust and bonding he has settled into our home. He's such a love! Each day he becomes more sure that he is so loved and such a good boy.

He loves his new best friend, our cat, and they sleep together on his bed and he loves to follow me around the house wherever I go. He's great on his walks and enjoys playing with his dog friends in the neighborhood and loves to play with our son's, Josh and Jacob. 

We are so lucky to have found this great golden for our home, we can't imagine life without him.
