Success Story

Harley Hipster

Harley Hipster

Hey Everyone:

It's Harley Hipster! I am so happy. I came to my new home on July 15th. Everyone loves me sooooooooo much. They all smother me in hugs and kisses all the time. There is a mom, a dad, a four year old little boy, and my favorite one in the family, a fourteen year old boy named Joey. Oh, and I can't forget about Sam. Sam is an australian terrier. I think he is a dog like me, but he seems a little too small to be a dog.

A week after I came to my new home my family took me in this thing they call a motorhome. We went to Colorado. Sam and I went for a swim in the Colorado River. It was a bit cold, but boy did I have fun. My boys fished a lot while Sam and I lounged on the bank of the river. Then we went to Arizona. My family took me for a walk along this big whole in the ground. They were calling it the Grand Canyon. I had a lot of fun on the trip, and really got a chance to bond with my new family. Plus I made a lot of friends along the way.

We finally came home after eight days. I was really glad to get back home and lounge on my favorite spot one the couch.

A week went by after we got home from our trip, and all of a sudden my family started packing up that motorhome thing again. Next thing I know we are on the road again. This time we went to Oregon. We stayed by this water that never seems to end. They were calling it the ocean. My family took me for long walks on the beach. I put my paws in the water, but I was a little too afraid to actually swim in it. After five days we drove back home and once again I was really glad to get back home and to my favorite spot on the couch.

Now that we are back home my boy is getting ready to go back to school, whatever that is. I have a feeling I am not going to like it, because Joey won't be able to hang out with me all day. I am really going to miss him. The mom laughs at me and says "Harley you follow Joey around like a puppy dog;" I guess when Joey goes back to school I will have to hang out with the mom and Sam during the day.

My new hip seems to be doing really well. I am getting around really good. Joey takes me in his pool, which is good physical therapy, and we do our daily little jogs. I get tired easily, but thats o.k. because Joey brings me in and we cuddle at my favorite spot. (THE COUCH). My appointment to get my hips checked is August 17th, next week. My family and I are praying I don't have to have another surgery, but I know if I do they will be right there by my side and they will take great care of me. As soon as I find out, I will let everyone know.

Love To All!!!!
