Success Story

Cooper

Dear Jody & Mike,

We wanted you to know that Dexter, now named Cooper A.K.A. Dennis the Menace, has made our family, once again, complete. We still mourn the loss of our beloved golden we lost in February, but Cooper has brought us all much happiness. He has made himself more than welcome here in our home. He either is sitting on us, lying on the couch with his head in a pillow, or attached to our side wherever that may be.

He jumps like a kangaroo when he is excited – it draws a lot of attention from all who see him. He has become the Mighty Watchdog but cowers and growls when strangers approach? (Most likely the effects of a bad beginning!) He enjoys the swimming rain or shine, loves to play ball, and drags us out of the house with his leash to go for his daily walk. We’re trying to train him, still, not to chase our cat but he’s a little slow at learning sometimes.

Cooper has truly become a family member and we wanted to thank you and John Mabrey for bringing him into our lives. We love him!

Happy Holidays to all of you angels at Homeward Bound.

Love,
Dave, Patti, Jenna, Tyler, Allie & Cooper
