Success Story

Anna

Dear Jody, Mike and Lynne,

I just wanted to tell you how happy we are that Anna came into our home. She is so wonderful. We couldn't have gotten a more pleasant dog if we tried. She came home Saturday and was a little shy the first day. She stayed very close to our sides and on Sunday we took her to our local dog park. After a few minutes of sniffing around, she just came and laid at our feet. She wasn't interested in playing fetch, eating a rawhide or chasing us.

Now on the other hand our puppy, Molly, is all about trying to get her to play. On Sunday she let Molly know that she wasn't ready and Molly obeyed her command. Monday came and they hung out together in our yard. We figured that we had a very mellow dog that just didn't like to play.

Well Tuesday morning arrived and all of that changed. She took a rawhide bone and let Molly know it was hers and then when I was getting ready for work I heard a big commotion on the deck. I look out the window and they were romping! Anna was chasing Molly and the were wrestling and playing tag. She just needed a moment to settle in. She is so good and she seems to have had some obedience training. She sits, comes and stays on command. She is housetrained and doesn't give our cat the time of day.

Yesterday was the clincher. Molly howls like the dickens if she hears a siren and until yesterday Anna looked at her like she was crazy. Well there must have been a real emergency because there were several response vehicles that passed with lights and sirens blazing and both of the dogs stood up and howled like a pack of coyotes at dusk! It was a sight to see. Thanks so much for what you do and thanks for bringing Anna to her Forever Family! We love her!
